KIK Board requires the following information before granting licenses.

  1. Investment Promotion Authority Certificate.
  2. Well-ventilated storage facilities to store copra to maintain copra quality; and adequate financial resources for buying copra.
  3. Supply copra bags to smallholder nominal cost.
  4. Calibrated weighing equipment to weigh copra bags at the sight of purchase.

COPRA BULK LOADING

KIK Quality Inspectors conduct Copra Bulk Loading Inspection to verify that the Copra being loaded onto shipping vessels are of good quality. The inspectors conduct a thorough inspection before and during loading until all copra is loaded onto the vessel.

KIK Quality Inspectors CONDUCT container inspection checklist to verify empty containers before loading coconut products for export. Thorough inspection of both the interior and exterior parts of the container to verify that it is in good condition for loading.

KIK Inspectors to audit and verify that a copra storage shed is of acceptable condition for use. A thorough inspection of the entire building structure then suggests improvements where necessary or recommend the issuance of a KIK Buyers License to the stakeholder.
