To provide efficient, effective and compliant administrative and secretarial support directly to the Managing Director.
The role will focus on providing high level, professional support to the Managing Director including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas for Management and Board meetings, facilitate travel and professional development, liaison with external stakeholders to facilitate meetings and events such as Provincial and National coconut festivals, workshops and other ceremonial events.
The Position will also provide support to other Divisional General Managers within KIK on Corporate Governance, Research & Development and Industry Services as directed by the Managing Director.
- Essential Duties
(a) Provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to the Managing Director.
(b) Facilitating meeting engagements for the Managing Director including travel bookings and appointments.
(c) Managing all aspects of coconut events including meetings, workshops, ceremonies and festivals.
(d) Developing writeups on coconut development events, meetings, workshops, ceremonies and festivals and publish in the daily newspapers and KIK website
(e) Assisting the Managing Director and Executive Management Team with delivery of timely Board meeting agendas, Management meeting agendas, minutes and other items as necessary.
(f) In conjunction with the relevant divisional staffs develop and review KIK Strategic Plan, By-laws and other relevant policy documents as directed by the Managing Director
(g) Liaise and establish sound communication and networking with KIK stakeholders, coconut farmers, buyers, processors, exporters, SMEs and the relevant Government agencies and provincial Governments.
(h) Develop, review and coordinate MOAs and MOUs established between KIK and the Provincial Governments as directed by the Managing Director.
(i) Any other duties directed by the Managing Director

- Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience The requirements listed below are essential for this position.
(a) A Degree or Diploma in Journalism from a recognized University or college with a minimum three (3) years related work experience.
(b) VERY good written and verbal communication skills.
(c) Good analytical skills in gathering information and able to summarize, do write ups and present for public consumption.
(d) Willingness to work extra hours and during the weekends as directed by the Managing Director.
(e) Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
